Kumaran is a Partner and Practising Solicitor in the firm’s specialist Financial Services Litigation team.
After schooling in London, he went on to read PPE at Oxford University and trained at a leading Legal 500 firm before joining the firm as a Litigation Solicitor in October 2012.
He acts for numerous clients in high value litigation against banks and major financial services institutions. He is managing multi-million pound claims relating to the actions of bank business support units such as RBS GRG, the mis-selling of complex derivatives either as standalone IRHPs or FX currency hedges by major banks and brokers and other more general high court litigation.
He has set the bar for successfully settling cases within the firm. He authored much of our campaigning letter to the FCA on the abuses of and failings in the Interest Rate Hedging Product Review scheme and is passionate about representing SMEs and achieving resolution.
